Ethiopia is the birthplace of Arabica coffee. And it continues to be a favourite for roasters throughout the world. The coffee still grows wild in the mountain forests in a variety of regions throughout the country, and while coffees from the region of Djimma play an important role in espresso blending, there are some sublime single origins that should be drunk in their own right for people to appreciate the wonderful berry fruit and floral nuances that make Ethiopian coffees unique.
We then blend this with a quality pulped Brazil known for its subtle fruit sweetness. Both are roasted a little lighter than our Classico Italiano so that its inherent fruit and floral characteristics are still on display in the cup, and yet, not too much as to be overwhelming in the espresso. It’s an amazing coffee when brewed with the filter or plunger also.
