Description
This is the original caffetteria (or coffee maker literally in Italian) patented by Alfonso Bialetti in 1933. In our opinion, it still is the best way to have a caffe latte at home in the morning. Made from aluminium it provides beautiful conduction of heat allowing for a slow, uniform brew so that the end product is always rich and strong, provided that the right type of blend is used and the coffee is aptly ground. They are available in a variety of sizes, the three cup being suitable for two small coffees or as a single large cup. For a caffe latte, just add two thirds hot milk, and for a long black, replace the milk with hot water.
